The preservation of family farms is important for many reasons. In addition to providing safe nutritious foods, family farms are responsible stewards of the land. They live on their farms and preserve the surrounding environment for future generations.
Family farms also play a vital role in rural economies. They provide jobs for local people and help support local businesses. They preserve green space within the community. And they preserve an essential connection between consumers, food and the land.

Our Ameraucana and Marans hens are ideally suited for family farming. Their hearty nature and premium eggs allow them to be cost-effectively raised on small, low-overhead farms.
Our goal is to have all our heirloom eggs raised on small family farms here in New England. We're recruiting farmers to join us as suppliers. We provide information, guidance and a stable market for their eggs.
If you're interested in working with Pete and Gerry's to produce heirloom eggs, contact Jesse Laflamme at 603-638-2827 or jesse@peteandgerrys.com.
